Asahi is my favorite place to eat in Lenoir City. I was first introduced to it in Athens, but when that location closed, I started to frequent the LC location. I order from here approximately once a week, usually the shrimp hibachi. So good! They are willing to customize your vegetables (I always get broccoli and zucchini only) and will give you steamed rice if you prefer. I've also asked for it to be cooked in less teriyaki sauce, and it has been perfect. They are really flexible and want you to enjoy your order! Also, they quickly process orders. I usually call mine in on the way home, and if there is a line of new orders at the window, they will bring it out so you don't have to wait in line. But, even if you order in the drive thru, it will be finished in about 8-10 mins.

Pretty good food. I ordered the steak and they fixed it perfectly. Medium well. The overall inside of this place needs some revamping. Different decor. The waiter was not to knowledgable on his english language. Hard to understand me at times. It was a good experience. So I rate this a 4 star.

Awful really awful. Ordered the Teriyaki chicken with no onions. What I got was over cooked/ old tough non- Teriyaki chicken, loads of rice and ONIONS - one or two broccoli, few other veggies and at least a cup and a half of onions. Don't waste your time or money here. The new Tako Japanese place by KFC in LC is the absolute BEST!

Best food around LC when it comes to Japanese food, very fast service between the drive thru or going in to sit down. Their sauces are extremely delicious and could load up a gallon on top of my food

I wrote this in another review but this fast food hibachi concept is new to me and a little weird! I was pleasantly surprised. It's not perfect - sometimes the steak is a little overcooked and the shrimp can be hit or miss but overall very good for the price and speed! The vegetables and rice are delicious (my husband doesn't like the carrots because they're sweet, more for me!) Definitely a new favorite!

Was there a few time and each time was good. I'd go again. The unmarked bottle of orange sauce is great. I wish I knew what it was.

Great Japanese food at good prices. I have to eat here at least twice a week for just good quality food. You could spend twice as much at some other restaurant in Knoxville but why?

Asahi was such a surprise the first time I tried it. I went there expecting a mediocre dinner, but boy was I wrong. The staff is always nice, and the food is even nicer. Asahi is Japanese food which is meat, rice, vegetables, but they do this food much better than most places. Meat always tastes fresh and lean. Fried rice is very good. Vegetables are some of the best I've ever had at a Japanese place. I've had the chicken, shrimp, and steak and all were very good. The shrimp sauce and hot sauce both come in squeeze bottles and are a must add to any dish. inside the restaurant it is very clean and a nice place to sit down and eat. I can't stop eating at this place.

The worse Japanese food I ever had. My steak was tough and could not chew it. Place smells of burnt peanut oil. My husband's shrimp was over cooked. We had to go to get something to eat elsewhere. This is the first time the reviews on Yelp did not meet my expectations. There was a bad odor coming from the carrots as well. My husband says it is in a desperate need of a Food Channel makeover.
